How did you come up with your name and number?
My husband Roger & I own a logging company. Chisel-Bit is a type of saw chain, and 090 is the biggest chain saw that Stihl makes. I felt like I'm just like the 090 chain saw when I'm blocking in derby.
What made you first start roller derby, or how did you discover roller derby?
I came to my first practice in December 2008 with my best friend Kilaron and cousin Stihl Queen. I loved everything about derby and have been doing it ever since.
Why do you love roller derby so much?
I get a great exercise 3 times a week with the best group of girls. I have made some great friends, and I love to block the other skaters!
How many hours per week do you practice?
I try to practice 6 hours a week.
What is your favorite drill?
The Zombie.
What is the most challenging part of roller derby?
Trying to fit derby into my schedule with 3 kids, a husband and selling real estate.
What are your non-derby hobbies?
I love to go hunting, camping, taking my kids riding their quads with all of their cousins, and spending as much time as I can with my wonderful husband Roger, and our kids, McKenna, Roger Jr., and Sam. I also own my own real estate company RLA Properties, Inc.
What’s your favorite piece of your roller derby wardrobe?
It's got to be my socks.
How does your derby alter ego differ from your everyday persona?
I don't think I'm any different on the track than off. Just a lot more aggressive when I play derby!
What is a common misconception about roller derby?
I think a lot of people think it's just about the fighting. That's not what it's like at all.
